Singleturn Encoder Kit: Precise and Dynamic Positioning
Lenord+Bauer expands the VarioCODER product family with the new absolute encoder kit GEL AIK10 — a mechanically robust solution for a wide range of high-speed and positioning applications. Based on a non-contact, inductive measuring principle, it is wear-free and maintenance-free. With precise angle measurement accuracy of up to 14 arc seconds and low latency of under nine microseconds, it is ideal for position detection in dynamic applications with demanding accuracy requirements.
The system consists of a flat stator and rotor and operates reliably even under harsh environmental conditions, as dust and liquids do not affect the measurement signals. Its design and simplified installation make it particularly suitable for integration into applications with large hollow shafts.
The GEL AIK10 is available in both a robust housed version and a compact PCB version for direct system integration. Various standard sizes cover a broad range of applications. In addition, the modular kit system enables further diameter variants to be realized to customer specification.
The housed version is optimized for use in harsh environments. The robust housing reliably protects the sensor against external influences such as dust, moisture, and mechanical stress.
For applications with limited installation space, the PCB version offers significant advantages: it can be flexibly integrated into existing systems, requires no additional housing, and thus enables a cost-efficient and space-saving implementation.
